Vaux (French pronunciation: [vo] ; ⓘOccitan: Vaus) is a commune in the Allier department in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in central France. The 19th-century French journalist, chansonnier and politician Agénor Altaroche (1811–1884) died in Vaux.
