Ctiboř is a municipality and village in Benešov District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants.
Administrative parts
The village of Hrádek is an administrative part of Ctiboř.
Geography
Ctiboř is located about 16 kilometres (10 mi) east of Benešov and 43 km (27 mi) southeast of Prague. It lies in the Vlašim Uplands. The highest point is at 436 m (1,430 ft) above sea level. The municipality is situated on the left bank of the Blanice River.
History
The first written mention of Ctiboř is from 1408.[2]
Sights
The most important monument is the Church of Saint Matthew the Apostle in Hrádek. It was built in the late Romanesque style in the first half of the 13th century and then rebuilt in the Baroque style in the 17th century. The church is a pilgrimage site.[2][3]
