Fonteno (Bergamasque: Fonté) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northeast of Milan and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northeast of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 680 and an area of 11.1 square kilometres (4.3 sq mi).[3]
The municipality of Fonteno contains the frazione (subdivision) Xino.
Fonteno borders the following municipalities: Adrara San Rocco, Endine Gaiano, Monasterolo del Castello, Parzanica, Riva di Solto, Solto Collina, Vigolo.
