Hoseynabad-e Jonubi Rural District (Persian: دهستان حسين آباد جنوبي)[3] is in Hoseynabad District of Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[4]
At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of the Central District) was 7,467 in 1,763 households.[5] There were 6,787 inhabitants in 1,780 households at the following census of 2011.[6] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 6,579 in 1,842 households, by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Hoseynabad District.[4] The largest of its 27 villages was Hoseynabad (now a city),[7] with 1,594 people.[2]
