Sarabbagh (Persian: سرابباغ, also Romanized as Sarābbāgh and Sarāb Bāgh)[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Sarab Bagh District of Abdanan County, Ilam province, Iran. The city is populated by Kurds.[4]
At the 2006 census, its population was 2,273 in 458 households, when it was a village in Sarab Bagh Rural District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,557 people in 608 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,659 people in 731 households, by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city.[2]
